Panchayat Raj diwas's date change ?
Good morning Team, Let's have a great discussion on a topic called Panchayat Raj diwas's date change. But before that let me clarify one minor doubt in this context is earlier it was 2. One is Panchayat Raj Diwas which is officially observed in odisha and another is National Panchayat Raj Diwas which was declared by Manmohan Singh on 2010 april 24. Now in this current action of our state both date got merged. Now the question is why National is being on 24th April. Because it is due in 1993 on this date that the amendment got passed in parliament . The point is now why then Odisha observed it on March 5. The answer is that the center brings it into the floor after 33 years of odisha implementation. Because the panchayat raj system was introduced in odisha in 1960 by then CM Mr. Biju Patnaik on the recommendation of the Balwant rai Meheta Committee Report and again in 1993 it was declared as an observable day in Odisha and that time also CM was MR. Biju Patnaik and after Naveen Patnaik came in to the power in 2005 he make it a public holiday. Now with this date change we lose our status for being first introduced to our nation. So nothing much.
